Many Kinds of Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are different affairs to various human beings. Certain individuals require a wheelchair for short duration while several others require a wheelchair for lifelong. Which another processes you use them might be distinct but one thing is for sure, the present modern wheelchair is a modish miracle in design in comparison to 100 years ago.

There are two types of wheelchairs, first one is the power wheelchair and the second one is the manual wheelchair. Each has disadvantages & merits. The manual wheel chair is categorised into 2 categories, the rigid and the folding frame. The folding wheelchair folds easily (wheel against wheel) for simple compact conveyance.

The folding frame chair has 1 demerit, it is heavier than rigid frame wheelchair. Rigid frame wheelchairs available in one piece have no scissor arms that are essential for folding so, this wheelchair is much lighter. Rigid frames are at times referred to as sport wheelchairs.

We also have powered & manual wheelchairs to make our choice. There are benefits as well as drawbacks of both types of wheelchairs. This manual wheelchair allows the user a physical workout in arm exercise. The power wheel chair allows you a twenty mile limit in effortless travelling. There is no over fatigue in using a power wheelchair.
